Makrolon^® LQ has also been successfully used for sunglasses for many years. Apart from the standard UV-absorbers which this product contains (up to 380 nm), a special grade is also available to give 100 % UV protection (up to 400 nm).

Like standard sunglasses, however, these UV-absorbers do not protect the eye against glare from light reflected off water, large areas of snow and wet roads, etc. The new POLARFUN Makrolon lenses from BNL Eurolens provide an effective remedy here. An integrated polarization film prevents disturbing reflections from reaching the eye.

These "lenses" are produced by in-mold lamination of easy-flowing Makrolon^® with a polarization film. The film is available in different colors. In combination with Makrolon^®, it will permit any desired design to be achieved.
